Why NutriFit.in?

Built for the way India eats, measures and lives.

Asian BMI cut-offs

Indians face health risks at a lower BMI. Our weight tools use the cut-offs recommended for Asian Indians.

Enter height in cm or feet and inches, and weight in kg or pounds, whatever you use at home.

Indian food examples

Protein, macro and calorie pages use dal, paneer, curd, roti and millets, not foods you never eat.

Private by design

Calculations run inside your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or stored on a server.

Backed by research

Every formula comes from published research or guidelines such as WHO, ICMR-NIN, AHA and ADA, listed on each page.

Build a healthy Indian plate

Numbers help, but what you put on your plate every day matters most. A simple guide for most adults:

  • Half the plate: vegetables and salad – palak, beans, gourds, cabbage, carrots, cucumber.
  • A quarter: protein – dal, rajma, chole, paneer, curd, eggs, fish or chicken.
  • A quarter: whole grains – roti, millets like ragi or jowar, or brown rice.
  • Add: a fruit, a little healthy fat and plenty of water.
  • Go easy on: sugar, fried snacks, sweets and extra salt.

Questions people ask

Are NutriFit calculators free?

Yes. All calculators are free to use with no sign-up, and they work on any phone or computer.

Why do you use Asian BMI cut-offs?

Research shows South Asians develop diabetes and heart disease at lower BMI levels, so Indian guidelines treat a BMI of 23 or more as overweight and 25 or more as obese.

How accurate are these calculators?

They use well-tested formulas from published research, but every result is an estimate. Use them as a guide and talk to your doctor about medical decisions.

Do you save my data?

No. Everything is calculated on your own device. We only remember your preferred units (like kg or pounds) in your browser.

Can I use feet and pounds?

Yes. Every calculator lets you switch between cm and feet + inches, and between kg and pounds.
